Reduce the environmental impact of corporate travel
Mission Zero is a suite of user-friendly capabilities designed to help travelers make more sustainable choices and reduce corporate travel's environmental footprint.
Create a more sustainable travel program
Mission Zero helps companies identify and choose more sustainable travel options and offset hotel, flight and car rental emissions – all within the Zeno booking process. It’s an easy, accurate way to get your business travel program on a path to net zero carbon emissions.
All Zeno customers can see emission information for flights and hotels in their search results and on their booking confirmation page. For car rentals, customers can filter search results to show electric and hybrid vehicles, or set their travel policy to only show these more sustainable options.
If your company opts in to the Mission Zero offset program, BlueHalo will calculate and show the offset value of selected hotels and flights on your booking confirmation page. Offsetting is also available for offline bookings. For car rentals, you can be confident that carbon emissions will be offset in line with your company’s policy.
With the BlueHalo Carbon Management Platform (CMP), there’s no need for manual calculations, and reporting is easy. Administrators can access carbon calculation and offset volume reports, as well as formal retirement certificates as proof of their company’s commitment to address travel-related emissions.

Offset payments go to high quality projects
TEM sources and manages a number of high impact carbon offset and biodiversity projects from around the world, spanning renewable energy, forest regeneration and community-driven initiatives.
Each project undergoes a rigorous accreditation process through a third-party verifier to ensure it delivers real and lasting benefits for communities and their environments. TEM also independently reviews each project through its own extensive due diligence process.
Customers can choose to contribute to a range of TEM’s global and local project portfolios. Or TEM can help identify and select specific projects that are relevant and important to customers and their business operations

Frequently
asked questions
One carbon offset represents one metric tonne of greenhouse gas emissions reduced or removed from the atmosphere. A carbon offset is created by either removing one tonne of emissions from the atmosphere (by planting forests for example), or by preventing one tonne of emissions from reaching the atmosphere (for instance by replacing a fossil-fuel-burning power plant with a wind farm).
The calculation methodologies within BlueHalo are aligned with globally recognized calculation and reporting standards. Depending on each customer’s regional requirements, TEM will work with the methodology consistent with the governing entity within their region. For example, in Australia, the entity is Climate Active, in New Zealand it’s the Ministry for the Environment and in the US, it’s the Environmental Protection Agency.
The Zeno Mission Zero offset program’s investment portfolios have been tailored to business travel customers and can be invested in alongside general business operations offsets. Each Mission Zero portfolio is verified to the highest international standards and delivers measurable benefits to people and the planet.
No, the offset is managed at a corporate level. Travelers can see the carbon offset calculation when they book, along with the environmental programs that the offset portfolio is investing in.
Because trips do have to be changed or canceled sometimes, Zeno will only offset the emissions from a booking after a trip has occurred.
