Reduce the environmental impact of corporate travel
Mission Zero is a suite of user-friendly capabilities designed to help travelers make more sustainable choices and reduce corporate travel's environmental footprint.
Make sustainable choices
Mission Zero helps travelers identify and choose more sustainable travel options by showing the carbon emissions for each element of a journey. Travel managers can prioritize lower emission options such as economy seats and hybrid or electric vehicles in recommended itineraries.
Travelers see real-time emissions and offset calculations alongside flight options on each journey. BlueHalo can also calculate accommodation and car hire post-journey. This information helps travelers compare the emissions impact of each choice and encourages more sustainable choices.
The BlueHalo ‘Neso’ reporting suite offers reporting on previous carbon calculations and the volumes of offsetting done to date. Customers can also access their formal retirement certificates as proof of their commitment to carbon neutral travel.
The environmental portfolios Mission Zero supports
Customers can choose between two high impact project portfolios that span renewable energy, forest regeneration and community-driven initiatives. Each carbon offset project is accredited with strict third-party verification standards that have rigorous rules and requirements to ensure they deliver real, long-lasting benefits for communities and their environments.

5 simple steps to make your travel program more sustainable
Wanting to get your travel program on a path to net zero carbon emissions is easy. Putting those ideas into practice can be a lot harder.
This 5-step guide can help by sharing how to increase the sustainability of business travel with Mission Zero.
Frequently
asked questions
One carbon offset represents one metric tonne of greenhouse gas emissions reduced or removed from the atmosphere. A carbon offset is created by either removing one tonne of emissions from the atmosphere (by planting forests for example), or by preventing one tonne of emissions from reaching the atmosphere (for instance by replacing a fossil-fuel-burning power plant with a wind farm).
As planes fly, they burn fuel that releases greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere. We have calculated the emissions for each flight offered by a carrier, and as a passenger, you can offset your share of these emissions. We then pass your offset contribution to verified carbon offset projects around the world that mitigate climate change, protect wildlife and nourish communities.
The Zeno Mission Zero offset program’s investment portfolios have been tailored to business travel customers and can be invested in alongside general business operations offsets. Each Mission Zero portfolio is verified to the highest international standards and delivers measurable benefits to people and the planet.
No, the offset is managed at a corporate level. Travelers can see the carbon offset calculation when they book, along with the environmental programs that the offset portfolio is investing in.
Because trips do have to be changed or canceled sometimes, Zeno will only offset the emissions from a booking after a trip has occurred.
