Serko appoints Simon Young as Chief Technology Officer

Serko is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Young as Chief Technology Officer.

Simon has more than 20 years’ experience in local and global technology companies and joined Serko in 2023 as the Vice President of Engineering. He has held a number of executive leadership roles, including as Chief Product & Technology Officer at Trade Me and Vice President of Engineering at Halter.

He has been acting in the Chief Technology Officer role since April.

Serko Co-Founder and CEO, Darrin Grafton, said: “Simon’s extensive experience and expertise make him the ideal person to lead and deliver our technology strategy to support Serko’s ambitions. He has made an impressive impact at Serko since joining in 2023 and during the period he has been acting in the role.

“Simon will focus on continuing to foster innovation, enhancing product development including through new technologies, and optimising our technology infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of our clients and partners.”

The appointment is effective immediately.
