In addition to seeing carbon emission information for flights, you can now see these details for hotels too. This information will appear in search results and on your booking confirmation page. In regards to car rentals, you can filter your search results to show you electric and hybrid vehicles, or set your travel policy to only show these more sustainable options.
With this data and functionality readily available to all Zeno customers, it’s easy to prioritize lower emission hotels, along with economy flight seats and hybrid or electric vehicles in your itineraries.
Offset everything at once – hotel, car rental and flight emissions all within Zeno
Now your company can offset hotel and car rental emissions alongside flight emissions in Zeno. By offsetting, your company agrees to compensate for CO2e emissions by putting money towards projects that remove or prevent emissions from reaching the atmosphere (more on these projects below).
When you opt in to the Mission Zero offset program, BlueHalo will calculate and show the offset value of selected hotels and flights on your booking confirmation page. For car rentals, you can be confident that carbon emissions will be offset in line with your company’s policy.
Importantly, emissions are offset at the point of departure, rather than the point of booking. So if a trip changes or needs to be cancelled, you don’t have to manually adjust your calculation and offsets.
Ease the reporting burden
Because the BlueHalo platform seamlessly integrates with Zeno, there’s no need to manually track your company’s emissions data. Administrators can easily access accurate reports on carbon calculations and true offsetting volumes, as well as formal retirement certificates as proof of your company’s commitment to addressing travel-related emissions.
